Week #4 Reflection

Introduction One of the most inspiring messages from this week's study materials is that success is not just about working harder—it's about   working smarter, embracing change, and pursuing what we truly love. The stories of Sharon Mays, Jeff Hawkins, Tom Kelley, and Jim Ritchie emphasize that those who step outside their comfort zone and   fearlessly embrace opportunities   are the ones who achieve real success. My biggest takeaway is that   we already have what it takes to succeed—we just need to give our dreams life   and commit to making smart decisions every step of the way. Key Information Learned A major takeaway from Sharon Mays’ journey with Baby Greens was that   we hold ourselves back more than anyone else. She explained that self-doubt and external voices telling us we’re “not ready” can be the biggest obstacles to success. Her mother’s advice— “Either do it or stop talking about it” —was a turning point for her. This reminded me that the only ...

Week #3 Reflection

Introduction The thought that resonated with me the most this week is that nothing is worth the price of losing integrity. Integrity is priceless, and no amount of money or success is worth compromising. This idea shaped my perspective as I studied the readings and videos, reminding me that true success comes from maintaining honesty and aligning my actions with my values. Without integrity, any achievement becomes hollow, no matter how impressive it may seem. Key Information Learned A powerful insight came from the article   Making a Living and a Life,   which emphasized that “success without integrity is failure.” This taught me that integrity is the cornerstone of a meaningful career and life. The video   Why Are Ethics Important?   Reinforced this idea, showing how ethical decisions create trust and foster long-term relationships. The   Top 10 Must-Haves for a Start-up   video highlighted the importance of building core values, such as transparen...

Week #2 Reflection

1/16/2025 Introduction Dream big, fail big—when we're young, our dreams know no bounds. We imagine space travel or becoming professional athletes who make a massive impact on the world. But as we grow, something changes. We stop dreaming as boldly and become paralyzed by fear. What we don’t always realize is that a childlike approach to dreaming isn’t just important for kids—it’s essential for success. If we want to grow, we have to tap back into that childlike courage to face our fears, dream big, and take that first step, even if we’re not sure where it will lead. Dreaming is crucial for a child because it helps them see who they could become. While not all dreams are realistic—for example, as a kid, I wanted more than anything to be Spider-Man, swinging around tall buildings and saving lives—those dreams still shaped me. Alongside those wild fantasies, I also had dreams that challenged me to grow and become better. I truly believe that dreaming big as a child is valuable becaus...

Week#1 Reflection

1/10/2025 Introduction You may be wondering, what’s the purpose of this blog? Put simply, it’s a space to document the lessons I learn—a personal, reflective journal that not only captures my thoughts at the moment but also serves as a powerful tool for growth and learning. This isn’t just about jotting down ideas; it’s about creating a resource that I can revisit throughout my career. By reflecting on my experiences, tracking my progress, and synthesizing key insights, this journal will help me grow both personally and professionally. It’s more than a snapshot of my thoughts—it’s a blueprint for continuous learning and improvement. Key Info Learned This week, I discovered the transformative power of keeping an Entrepreneur’s Journal and adopting a growth-oriented mindset. Jeff Sandefer highlighted how a journal acts as a “mirror,” helping us stay accountable for our decisions and track progress over time. The importance of separating "Lessons Learned" from "Lessons Not ...
